Zenith Material Handling

In the world of stone fabrication there are a number of materials that are used for hard surfaces. One of those materials is Zenith. And when you work with Zenith materials, there are some tools and equipment that make your day-to-day work much easier. This page is part of the information about engineered quartz equipment. In this article we will talk a bit about some of the equipment used for handling Zenith materials.

What is Meant by Material Handling?

The first logical place to begin when discussing Zenith material handling is with the definition. So how is material handling defined? Well, we will get into a fuller definition later, but we will only elaborate on three basic aspects of it as it regards Zenith. First, storing Zenith is part of material handling. Second, unloading it from trucks and loading it onto them is considered material handling. Third, placing them onto and removing them from machines is considered material handling.

Storing Zenith Products

Fabrication shops at times have a great deal of material on hand with which to work. Because of this, and because the Zenith slabs might need to be sitting in storage before they are actually used for surfaces, a storage rack for Zenith slabs might be used for keeping the material on hand but out of the way until it is ready for use.

Zenith Transport Products

One of the facets of material handling that may seem obvious is transporting Zenith slabs from one place to another. Having the ability to easily move a slab of Zenith across the fabrication shop is a practical asset. With a short double side Zenith cart or similar piece of equipment, fabrication shop workers can move Zenith slabs around the shop easily and quickly, not to mention safely.

Equipment for Loading Zenith

Zenith, like other kinds of materials used for surfaces is lifted multiple times thorughout the fabrication process. Loading a Zenith slab onto a machine or truck as well as removing the same slab from those machines takes not only power, but also the ability to hold the slab. There are several machines available for lifting Zenith slabs as well as other materials. One such machine is a scissor style Zenith slab grabbing clamp. There are others too. The idea is use a piece of gear that will get ahold of the slab and not let go until the operator wants it to. In conclusion, having the proper material handling equipment for managing Zenith products is not really all that different from what you would need to handle natural stone surfaces. Like any engineered quartz, working with Zenith takes various products that are designed to lift, transport, and load large slabs of product.
