Equs Surfaces & Material Handling

One material that is used for hard surfaces in homes, businesses, and even public buildings is Equs material. And one of the main tasks used to work with Equs is handling it. This includes both loading it, unloading it, positioning it on other equipment, and even placing it on fixtures where it will be worked. These tasks require engineered quartz equipment. In this article, we will take a look at what equipment is involved with fabricating Equs and we will touch on some other interesting points regarding it.

Material Handling: What is Involved?

When people think of material handling for Equs, different things might come to mind. Someone might think of unloading a truck that has Equs products on it. Someone else might have in mind the thought of lifting Equs slabs onto a fixture for work. And still others may see in their mind's eye a storage rack with slabs of Equs loaded on it. And in fact, all of these are actually examples of material handling.

Equipment for Storing Equs

Slabs in fabrication shops can sometimes sit for a period of time before they are used for creating a surface. That is where the storage aspect of material handling comes in. Equs slabs need to be kept somewhere when they are not being used. Fabricators make use of a Equs stone slab storage rack to keep the slabs in until they are ready to use them.

Transporting Equs

Fabrication shops require a number of pieces of equipment to operate smoothly. One of those is a short double side Equs cart or similar product. Why is that the case? Well, the easiest way to say it is that it makes the work easier and smoother by allowing the Equs slabs to be moved on a fixture rather than without one. Some of the transport carts can have casters (wheels) added to them so they can be loaded and rolled. Whether you are using a rolling cart in the shop or an a-frame along a wall of the delivery van, these units are practical.

Equs Loading & Unloading Equipment

Equs, like other kinds of materials used for surfaces is lifted multiple times thorughout the fabrication process. Loading a Equs slab onto a machine or truck as well as removing the same slab from those machines takes not only power, but also the ability to hold the slab. There are several machines available for lifting Equs slabs as well as other materials. One such machine is a slab grab Equs scissor lifter clamp. There are others too. The idea is use a piece of gear that will get ahold of the slab and not let go until the operator wants it to. In conclusion, having the proper material handling equipment for managing Equs products is not really all that different from what you would need to handle natural stone surfaces. Like any engineered quartz, working with Equs takes various products that are designed to lift, transport, and load large slabs of product.
