Difiniti Surfaces & Material Handling

If you are a shop that works with Difiniti material you may already know much of the information in this article. And if you are setting up a new shop and plan on working with Difiniti this is information that you will most certainly need to know since it relates to engineered quartz equipment. In this article we will talk about some of the material handling equipment that is needed to work with Difiniti and how it makes your daily work easier.

How is Material Handling Defined?

The first logical place to begin when discussing Difiniti material handling is with the definition. So how is material handling defined? Well, we will get into a fuller definition later, but we will only elaborate on three basic aspects of it as it regards Difiniti. First, storing Difiniti is part of material handling. Second, unloading it from trucks and loading it onto them is considered material handling. Third, placing them onto and removing them from machines is considered material handling.

Difiniti Products and Storage

One piece of equipment that is an important part of material handling is the sturdy rack for storing Difiniti slabs. since a slab might not be used right away, fabricators use racks like these to keep Difiniti in the shop or warehouse until they are ready to use that slab for a surface.

Equipment for Transporting Difiniti

Fabrication shops require a number of pieces of equipment to operate smoothly. One of those is a two side a frame Difiniti cart or similar product. Why is that the case? Well, the easiest way to say it is that it makes the work easier and smoother by allowing the Difiniti slabs to be moved on a fixture rather than without one. Some of the transport carts can have casters (wheels) added to them so they can be loaded and rolled. Whether you are using a rolling cart in the shop or an a-frame along a wall of the delivery van, these units are practical.

Difiniti Loading Equipment

In the shop Difiniti slabs, like other surface materials must be lifted during the loading and unloading process. To do this, workers will inevitably reach for some kind of lifter to pick up the sheet or slab of Difiniti. This because the weight of the slab requires one to get a good hold of the slab. One of the machines they reach for is a air only vacuum style lifter which is able to get ahold of the slab and keep it until the operator causes the device to release the stone. In the end working with Difiniti is like working with any natural stone or other engineered quartz surface. It can be awkward and challenging to lift, position, load and unload. But having the proper equipment to handle it makes the work much easier to perform.
