Belenco Material Handling

If you are a shop that works with Belenco material you may already know much of the information in this article. And if you are setting up a new shop and plan on working with Belenco this is information that you will most certainly need to know since it relates to engineered quartz equipment. In this article we will talk about some of the material handling equipment that is needed to work with Belenco and how it makes your daily work easier.

How is Material Handling Defined?

For Belenco products, material handling involves many of the same concepts as other engineered quartz. But what exactly does that entail? For one, material handling involves simply storing Belenco in a warehouse or a slab yard. Another part of material handling includes loading and unloading Belenco for vehicles. Finally, when we say "material handling", we may be talking about maneuvering and/or positioning Belenco slabs. This could be to cut the material or to finish it, either way, it is a facet of material handling.

Belenco Storage Equipment

Slabs in fabrication shops can sometimes sit for a period of time before they are used for creating a surface. That is where the storage aspect of material handling comes in. Belenco slabs need to be kept somewhere when they are not being used. Fabricators make use of a rack for storing Belenco to keep the slabs in until they are ready to use them.

Belenco Transport Equipment

In a fabrication shop, slabs get moved from one location to another regularly. If workers were only able to carry Belenco materials in slab form, think of how much more work it would take. Additionally, safety is factor as well. The more carrying that workers do, the more likely they are to become exhausted and then strength could become a factor. For situations where moving slabs of Belenco are common, a double sided a frame for Belenco or other product might be beneficial to have in the shop.

Unloading & Loading Belenco

In the shop Belenco slabs, like other surface materials must be lifted during the loading and unloading process. To do this, workers will inevitably reach for some kind of lifter to pick up the sheet or slab of Belenco. This because the weight of the slab requires one to get a good hold of the slab. One of the machines they reach for is a jumbo wide grip lifter for wide materials which is able to get ahold of the slab and keep it until the operator causes the device to release the stone. In the end working with Belenco is like working with any natural stone or other engineered quartz surface. It can be awkward and challenging to lift, position, load and unload. But having the proper equipment to handle it makes the work much easier to perform.
